31st Mar Brian (40 points) won today by 2 from Dave and JohnH. The 2s pot (£4.50) rolls-over to the Summer 2001 Competition - this was the climax of the Winter 2000/01 competition …. 4 Gents had the following targets to win our Trophy: Bunny 39, Brian 45, Bob 45, and Dave 49 - but Ian, the leader since 2nd Dec won (whilst on holiday) with an average of 36.2 points per Competition round - 0.4 ahead of Brian & Bunny who finished in joint 2nd. Congratulations Ian, and thanks for the drink - the bill’s behind the bar awaiting your return! Also a special mention for (Dr) Tony who missed 4 weeks due to work - he had the best overall average of 36 per round played.

24th Mar Keith (44 points) won by 6 from Bunny and Tony(C) who took the £7 2s pot.

17th Mar Ian (32 points) won by 2 from JohnC. The 2s pot (£2.50) rolled-over. Bunny took 2nd place from Brian without playing! JohnH matched Brian (10th Feb), Mike (13th Jan) & Ted’s (4th Nov) low score of 22 points on this bitterly cold day. Ian and JohnC have completed their rounds for this 6-monthly competition. Please note: The depleted field of 5 was due to the Winter 4-Ball Final - Ted & Keith came 3rd (on countback) with 38 points, Dave & Bunny scored 37 points, and Bob & Tony scored 35 points.

10th Mar Bunny (37 points) won by 4 from Keith, took the 2s pot (£4.50), and 3rd place from Bob.

3rd Mar Ian (36 points) won by 1 from Brian and JohnC. Bob and JohnH shared the 2s pot (£8.50).

17th Feb JohnH (37 points) won by 1 from Ian and Bunny. The 2s pot (£4.50) rolled-over. Bunny (71) has the highest monthly total, Ted (29) has the lowest - Brian (22+29=51) remains in 2nd position despite discarding both rounds!

10th Feb Bob (36 points) won on countback from Dave and Tony(C). The 2s pot (£21) was won by Dave (first 2 since 16th Dec!) . Brian matched Mike (13th Jan) & Ted’s (4th Nov) low score of 22 points - he discarded it immediately to remain in 2nd place behind Ian (who has been leading since 2nd Dec). The top 3 on the leaderboard were on the podium last time!

3rd Feb 18 hole course closed due to overnight rain, so we played the 9 hole twice instead. Bob won on countback from Brian and Ian with a net 52 (gross 32 + 28 less 3/4 of 10 handicap). John C shot a gross 76, he went out-of-bounds at the 4th during last week’s pairs competition - is the pressure getting to him …. time for another holiday in the sun John?

20th Jan Brian (40 points) won on countback from Ian and Dave on this extremely cold day - even the lakes were frozen! The 2s pot (£15.50) rolled-over again - now a treble! JohnC (77) has the highest monthly total, Simon (0 again!) has the lowest.

13th Jan JohnC (39 points) won by 1 from Ted. The 2s pot (£11) rolled-over again - now a double. Mike matched Ted’s low score of 22 points (4th Nov).

6th Jan 18 hole course closed due to overnight rain, so we played the 9 hole twice instead. Bob won by 5 with a gross 58 (29 x 2).

30th Dec Course closed due to snow - no play. Ian and Brian (115) have the highest monthly total, Simon (0!) has the lowest.

23rd Dec Keith (41 points) won by 5 from Brian and Ian. The 2s pot (£5) rolled-over for the first time.

16th Dec Brian (39 points) won by 1 from Bob and JohnH. He also shared the 2s pot (£5) with Bob, JohnH, and JohnC - £1.25 each!

2nd Dec Ian (45 points) won by 2 from Bunny and Tony, took the 2s pot (£4.50) with an eagle on the 11th!, and also took the lead. Will this magnificent round be the best of the Winter 2000/01 competition?

25th Nov Dave (37 points) won on countback (again) from JohnC, and was cut by 6 for this consecutive triumph! He also shared the 2s pot (£4.50) with Bunny, JohnH, and Bob - we promise not to spend it all at once! Dave (112) has the highest monthly total, Mike (0!) has the lowest.

18th Nov Dave (40 points) won on countback from Ian, took the 2s pot (£5.50), and also took the lead.

4th Nov Simon (41 points) won by 5 from Tony(C). Bunny took the 2s pot (£6). Ted scored only 22 points on the awesome Chelsfield links!
