27th March - Round 13 (of 13) Bob (44 points - Gross 74) beat George by 4. The rollover 2s Pot (£9.50) was shared by Keith(2nd) & George(17th).

Simon won the Gents Trophy with an average of 38.9 Stableford points

(having scored in the 70s in every round) - he beat David (37.5) by 1.4.

Bunny came 3rd with 36.1, Barry was 4th with 35.8, and Ian 5th with 35.1.

20th March - Round 12 (of 13) Barry (36 points) beat Brian by 1. The 2s Pot (£4) rolled-over. Simon (39.3) leads David 1.8. The average score of 30.8 was the worst ever recorded - something to do with the near gale force wind?!

David is unavailable for round 13 - but would win if Simon scores less than 24. Barry needs to score 68 to win if Simon doesn't play next week, and if Simon does play and scores 18 Barry would need 50 to win! Congratulations in anticipation of a great competition and deserved win Simon.

21st February - Round 11 (of 14) David (43 points) beat Simon by 5. Ian (17th) & Keith (5th) shared the double rollover 2s pot (£15.50). Simon (39.3) leads David 1.8. Simon's handicap was cut to 6.0 - the lowest ever recorded.

14th February - Round 10 (of 14) Simon (40 points) beat Mike by 2. The rollover 2s pot (£10) rolled-over again. Simon (39.4) leads Bunny by 2.6! Simon's handicap was cut to 6.2 - the lowest ever recorded.

31st January - Round 10 (of 15) Another round abandoned due to driving rain - competition now 14 rounds, also rounds required to 'lift' the Trophy reduced from 9 to 8 (following 2004 CLGC Competition moves from Sundays to Saturdays).

17th January - Round 9 (of 15) David (41 points) beat Bob (Gross 78) by 1. The 2s pot (£4.50) rolled-over. Simon (39.3) leads David by 2.1!

Competition reduced to 15 rounds due to Team Medley being moved from Sunday 8/2 to Saturday 7/2, and March Medal being moved from Sunday 7/3 to Saturday 6/3.

10th January - Round 8 (of 17) Simon (42 points, Gross 72) beat John by 1. Bob (5th) & Simon shared the 2s pot (£5) - Simon's putt on the 17th for a 2's Slam just missed. Simon (39.3) leads Bunny by 2.2! Simon's handicap was cut to 6.6 - the lowest ever recorded.

Competition reduced to 17 rounds due to Winter 4-Ball 3rd Qualifier being moved from Sunday 25/1 to Saturday 24/1.

27th December - Round 7 (of 18) TonyS (40 points) beat Bob (Gross 79) by 1. Barry (17th - needs the 2nd for a 2's Slam) won the rollover 2s pot (£11). Simon (38.8) leads Mike by 0.55.

We welcomed back Barry(26) today after a 10 week injury break - even though he won the £2's.

20th December - Round 7 (of 19) Abandoned due to driving rain - competition now 18 rounds.

15th November - Round 6 (of 20) Mike (38 points) beat Bunny & Ian on countback. The 2s pot (£6.50) rolled-over. Barry (40.0) leads Simon by 1.2. Simon's handicap was cut to 7.2 - the lowest ever recorded.

8th November - Round 5 (of 20) Bunny (43 points) beat David by 1. Bob(5th - the 4th 2's Slam Trophy Winner), David(17th), Simon(5th & 15th) & Ted(17th) shared 2s pot (£5.50) - 5 2s is a new record! Barry(40.00) leads Simon by 0.75. The average handicap dropped 0.3 to 16.8 - the 2nd lowest recorded.

1st November - Round 4 (of 20) Mike (38 points) beat Simon on countback. Simon (15th - the 3rd 2's Slam Trophy Winner) won the 2s pot (£5). Simon (40.33) leads Barry  by 0.33. Simon's handicap was cut to 7.3 - the lowest ever recorded.

TonyC took the "Bum Round" lead from Brian with a stunningly bad 22 - a repeat of his Summer 2002 score (which lost to JohnC with 21). We had a Bum Team again today - TonyC 22, Keith 27 & Brian 31 scored a total of 80 (average 26.7) - just 1 point more than Barry, Bob & Mike on 17th May 2003.

18th October - Round 3 (of 20) Brian (40 points) beat TonyC by 1. TonyC(2nd) won the 2s pot (£2.50). Simon (41.50) leads Barry  by 1.50. Today was the first time every player was cut - Bob & Ian were last with 37.2!

11th October - Round 2 (of 20) Simon (39 points) beat Barry, David, Ian & TonyC on countback! David(5th) & Simon(5th) shared the 2s pot (£5). Simon (41.50) leads Barry  by 1.50.

4th October - Round 1 (of 20) Simon (44 points) beat Barry by 3, won the double-rollover 2s pot (£15.50 - 17th), is our initial Best Gross Score leader with a superb 72 (the lowest ever recorded), and won more £s today than during the Summer 2003 Competition! Brian scored 29 - the initial "Bum Round".
