29th March - Round 18 (of 18) TonyC (47 points) beat Mike by 1. Ian, JohnC & Simon shared the 2's pot (£7).

Mike (453 points, Trophy average 37.8) won by 2 from Simon following a personal best Gross 83, an exceptional round under the circumstances - Keith, Mike or Simon could have won on the 18th!

Keith came 3rd with 449 points, Ted was 4th with 438 points, and Peter 5th with 435 points. Simon had the best overall average - 36.4, 0.1 ahead of TonyC.

8th March - Round 15 (of 18) Keith (39 points) beat Peter & TonyS by 2. The 2s pot (£13) rolled-over again. Keith (445 points, Trophy average 37.1) is our new leader by 2 from Simon.

1st March - Round 14 (of 18) Keith (43 points) beat Bunny by 2. The 2s pot (£7) rolled-over. Simon (442 points, Trophy average 36.8) leads Keith by 5. BrianH has the best Overall average - 36.6, but has only completed 9 rounds out of a maximum of 12 - i.e. he won't be able to discard any.

15th February - Round 13 (of 18) TonyS (49 points - gross 86) beat Keith by 7! He looks a certainty win the Best Stableford with the highest score ever recorded in the Gents Trophy - so did David just 4 weeks ago! Bunny won the double-rollover 2s pot (£21). Simon (439 points, Trophy average 36.6) leads Mike by 16. BrianH has the best Trophy and Overall average - 36.9, but has only completed 8 rounds.

8th February - Round 12 (of 18) Keith (38 points) beat BrianH by 1. The 2s pot (£14) rolled-over again. Bunny (408 points, average 34.0) still leads Simon by 2, but Simon still has a game in hand. BrainH & Simon now have the best average - 36.9.

9 of the 16 current Gents have completed 10 or more of the initial 12 rounds - BrianP & Bunny have played them all, and can start discarding next round.

1st February No play due to wintry weather - competition reduced to 18 rounds.

25th January - Round 11 (of 19) TonyC (36 points) beat David & Simon on countback. The 2s pot (£7) rolled-over. Bunny (376 points, average 34.2) leads Simon by 2, but Simon still has a game in hand. Simon now has the best average - 37.4 (BrianH had lead from Round 1).

18th January - Round 10 (of 19) David (48 points - gross 75) beat Simon by 8! He looks a certainty win the Best Stableford with the highest score ever recorded in the Gents Trophy. The winning margin equalled the largest in the Gents Trophy - also by David on 12th December 2001.

Bunny & Simon shared the rollover 2s pot (£13.50). Bunny (341 points, average 34.1) leads Simon by 3, but Simon still has a game in hand. BrianH has the best average - 38.0. Simon's Handicap was cut to 8.4 - the lowest in this competition. The average score was 36.7 - the best in this competition.

11th January - Round 9 (of 19) Congratulations to TonyS (37 points) on his first win - he beat BrianP by 2. No 2s pot this week by order of Executive Potter! Bunny (306 points, average 34.0) is our new leader by 8 from Simon, but Simon has a game in hand. BrianH has the best average - 38.0.

16th November - Round 5 (of 19) Peter (43 points) beat Ted by 2. Bunny & JohnH (2x 2s - the first 2's Slam Trophy Winner) shared the 2s pot (£6.50). Ted (193 points, average 38.6) leads by 5 from Simon. BrianH has the best average - 41.7.

Simon's Handicap was cut to 9.1 - the lowest in this competition. Ted's 1.2 (2x0.3 + 3x0.2) cut to 19.8 brings him down to Category 2.

9th November - Round 4 (of 19) Simon (43 points) beat Ted by 2. Denis, JohnC & Ted shared the 2s pot (£6). Ted (152 points, average 38.0) is our new leader - 3 ahead of Simon. BrianH has the best average - 41.7! Simon looks worth a bet to win the Best Gross trophy with a 74.

Simon's Handicap was cut to 9.4 - the lowest in this competition. Ted's 1.5 cut to 21.0 brings him close to Category 2! 7 of 12 Gents scored within our 34 to 36 buffer zone today.

2nd November - Round 3 (of 19) Bob (43 points) beat David & JohnC on countback, and won the 2s pot (£8). BrianH (125 points, average 41.7) leads by 14 from Ted, and has the best average. Bob looks worth a bet to win the Best Gross trophy with a 75.

26th October - Round 2 (of 19) BrianH (41 points) beat JohnH by 4, and won the roll-over 2s pot (£12.50). BrianH (83 points, average 41.5) leads by 10 from Simon, and has the best average. Simon is the new Best Gross Score leader with 82. BrianP looks worth a bet to win the "Bum Round" trophy with 24 points. The average score was 36.3 - the best in this competition.

The Bob(28) / BrianP(24) / David(26) Team scored only 78 points - they didn't complete any hole under par! Is this a record?

19th October - Round 1 (of 19) BrianH (42 points) beat BrianP by 1. The 2s pot (£6.50) rolled-over. BrianH, BrianP & Ian are the initial Best Gross Score leaders with 85. TonyC & TonyS scored 31 - the initial "Bum Round".

12th October - Round 0! (of 20) Abandoned after 9 holes due to torrential rain  - Keith (22 points) waded away with the £10 singles pot without being cut! Competition reduced to 19 rounds (discardable rounds reduced from 7 to 6).
