27th September - Round 17 (of 17) Peter (41 points) beat George by 3. The 2's pot (£10) rolled-over again.

Keith (427 points, Trophy average 38.8) won by 10 from Bob.

George came 3rd with 416 points, BrianP  was 4th with 407 points, and Peter 5th with 404 points. George had the best overall average - 37.8, 1.5 ahead of Keith.

9 of the 12 gaps between the 13 Gents that completed 11 rounds were 4 or less points - 6 were 0 or 1! More stats on Summer 2003.

13th September - Round 16 (of 17) BrianP (37 points) beat Barry & Ian by 3. The 2s pot (£5) rolled-over. Keith (424 points, Trophy average 38.5) leads Bob by 11. George still has the best Overall average - 37.8.

6th September - Round 15 (of 17) Ted (42 points) beat Ian & Keith by 1. The 2s pot (£4) was won by Ian (5th). Keith (424 points, Trophy average 38.5) leads by 11 from Bob. George still has the best Overall average - 37.8.

30th August - Summer Medal George 66 (off 17) beat Keith & Peter by 1 - Peter(15th) won the 2's pot (£10). Other scores: Simon 68, Ted 69, BrianP 71, Bunny 72, Ian 72, JohnC 73, and finally Bob 75.

23rd August - Round 14 (of 17) George (50 points - the best ever recorded despite a blob on the 18th!) beat Peter by 3 - this was Peter's 2nd consecutive 47 which has seen him cut by 5.8 to 18.7 from 24.5 in 2 rounds! The 2s pot (£6) was won by TonyS (5th) - he needs the 15th for a 2's Slam (Bob needs the 5th, Bunny the 2nd, Simon the 15th, and Ted the 5th). Keith (416 points, Trophy average 37.8) leads again - by 5 from Bob. George still has the best Overall average - 37.8.

It was a record breaking day in other ways .... Simon leads the Best Gross Score again with a superb 73 - the lowest ever recorded. The overall average of 40.5 today is the best ever recorded. Simon's handicap was cut to 7.8 - the lowest ever recorded. The average handicap dropped 0.9 to 16.5 - the lowest ever recorded (George was cut by 2.8, Peter by 2.5, and Keith by 2.0).

9th August - Round 13 (of 17) Bob (44 points) beat Keith & Simon by 3. The 2s pot (£7) was shared by Bob (17th), Ian (15th) & Simon (5th). Bob (404 points, Trophy average 36.7) is our new leader by 2 from Keith. George still has the best Overall average - 36.4.

Bob is our new Best Gross Score leader with 74 .... ahead of Simon on countback having covered the back 9 in 34 - 1 under par Gross! The overall average of 37.7 today is the 2nd best ever recorded. The average handicap dropped 0.2 to 17.4 - the lowest ever recorded.

2nd August - Round 12 (of 17) TonyS (42 points) beat Keith on countback. The 2s pot (£5) was shared by Barry (15th) and Brian (17th). Keith (392 points, Trophy average 35.6) leads Bob by 4. George still has the best Overall average - 36.8.

12th July - Round 11 (of 17) Peter (47 points!) beat Barry by 2! The 2s pot (£6) was shared by Bob & Keith. Keith (379 points, average 34.5) leads Bob by 3. George has the best average - 36.8.

Peter's 47 takes the Best Stableford lead - this together with Barry's 45 leaves TonyS with the worst handicap again. David (42), George (41) & Mike (41) probably recorded the best Team score ever - but we don't have any records to prove this. The overall average of 38.8 today is the best ever recorded.

5th July - Round 10 (of 17) George (40 points) beat Bob by 1. The 2s pot (£6.50) was won by Bob. Keith (345 points, average 34.5) leads Bob by 9. George now has the best average - 36.1.

28th June - Round 9 (of 17) Simon (42 points) beat Peter by 2. The rollover 2s pot (£13.50) was won by George. Keith (312 points, average 34.7) leads Bob by 15. Bunny has the best average - 35.7. Simon is our new Best Gross Score leader with a superb 74!

14th June - Round 8 (of 17) BrianP (40 points) beat TonyC & TonyS by 2. The 2s pot (£6.50) rolled-over. Keith (277 points, average 34.6) leads Bob by 19.

BrianH snatched the "Bum Round" lead from Barry on countback. Despite this he still has the best average - 35.5, but now jointly with Bunny & JohnC.

7th June - Round 7 (of 17) Bob (38 points) beat Bunny & Keith by 2. Bob won the 2s pot (£4). Keith (248 points, average 35.4) leads Bob by 24! BrianH still has the best average - 37.6.

President JohnC is in last place - he trails the field by 13!

31st May - Round 6 (of 17) Keith (39 points) beat Bunny by 1. Bob won the 2s pot (£5.50) - his tee shot on the 15th hit the Pin and stopped stone dead. Keith (212 points, average 35.3) is our new leader by 7 from Ted, but BrianH still has the best average - 37.6.

Bob and Simon have the worst average - 31.0. Barry has the worst handicap - 25.3, 0.6 higher than TonyS!

24th May - Round 5 (of 17) Keith (41 points) beat BrianH by 1. Ian (the second  2's Slam Trophy Winner) and TonyS shared the rollover 2s pot (£13). BrianH (188 points, average 37.6) leads Ted by 9.

17th May - Round 4 (of 17) TonyS (41 points) beat BrianH & George by 3. The 2s pot (£6.50) rolled-over. BrianH (148 points, average 37) is our new leader (by 6 from Ted), but President John still has the best average - 37.3.

Barry scored 25 to take over the "Bum Round" lead from David. In fact we had a Bum Team today - Barry 25, Bob 28 & Mike 26 (2nd worst score to date) scored a total of 79 at an average of 26.3!

3rd May - Round 3 (of 17) David (43 points - takes the Best Stableford lead) beat Mike by 3. Barry won the 2s pot (£7.50). President John (112 points, average 37.3) leads by 2 from BrianH & Mike (who are 1 ahead of David & Ted). David is our new Best Gross Score leader with 79 - he now leads everything except the Gents Trophy competition!

We welcomed back BrianP from injury today for his first round in the Summer 2003 Competition.
